Serial Burglar Busted After English Crime Spree

A notorious burglar has finally been caught after terrorising homes across England. Gledis Uka, 29, a homeless man, was nabbed in Essex last Friday, ending a long string of break-ins.

Homes Targeted Across Kent and Beyond

Uka’s crime spree covered 14 burglaries in Kent alone, hitting Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and Ashford. The raids stretched from December 2023 all the way through to November 2025. Wearing a mask, he smashed windows and glass doors to get inside, stealing cash and jewellery – leaving victims shaken and scared.

Charged with 31 Burglaries and Counting

On Saturday, 31 January 2026, Uka faced a staggering 31 burglary charges plus two attempts. He appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody. His next court hearing is set for 2 March at Maidstone Crown Court.

Crime Spree Spans Multiple Counties

Police reveal Uka’s criminal rampage isn’t limited to Kent. He’s linked to break-ins across Berkshire, Bristol, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Suffolk, and Surrey. Authorities hope these tough charges bring solace to homeowners nationwide.
