Moped Crash in Clapton Common: Pedestrian Hurt, Rider Arrested

Police rushed to Clapton Common at around 10.10pm on 10 October after a moped collided with a pedestrian near the Darenth Road junction.

Pedestrian Injured, Rider Busted

The pedestrian suffered a foot injury. The moped rider was promptly arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH).

Police Reassure Community

Officers are actively engaging with locals following the incident. There is no evidence to suggest the crash was a hate crime.
