Jailed Criminal Vanishes After New Year’s Day Release
Faruk Suleman failed to return to an open prison after a temporary release on New Year’s Day. The 52-year-old is still at large.
Serious Convictions Haunt Fugitive
Suleman was convicted at Leicestershire Crown Court in 2018. He’s serving 13 years and six months for conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to possess a firearm and imitation firearm, plus producing and possessing Class B drugs with intent.

- May sport facial hair and sometimes wears glasses
- Tattoos: Full sleeve on one arm; Liver bird tattoo on the other

Suleman may also use the name Mohammed Ismail. He has known links to Birmingham, Staffordshire, and Sheffield.
