Teen Fatally Stabbed Outside Britannia Inn
Tragedy struck shortly after 9.30pm on Saturday when an 18-year-old man was found with a stab wound outside the Britannia Inn on Newbottle Street. Emergency crews rushed him to hospital, but he sadly died from his injuries last night.
Six Teens Arrested Over Fatal Brawl
Police have arrested six teenagers aged 14 to 17 on suspicion of wounding. They remain in custody as investigations continue. The victim, from the local area, leaves behind family and friends devastated by the loss.
“Our thoughts are with the teenager’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time,” said a police spokesperson. “Specialist officers are supporting them, and we urge everyone to respect their privacy.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward. Extra patrols will remain in the area while the investigation ramps up.
