Detectives Hunt Lone Stabbing Suspect After Deadly Brent Murder
Police are scrambling to solve a brutal stabbing in Brent that left Leon Street dead on 11 January. Now, officers link two other attacks in Neasden to the same suspect — a lone white male, around 30, last seen wearing a dark jacket.
Three Stabbings, One Fatal, All Mysterious
- On Monday 11 January, just after 9.30pm, Leon Street, 48, was found fatally stabbed on Neasden Lane North near Hazelwood Court.
- Earlier that night, a man in his 40s was stabbed near a bus stop by Press Road and survived.
- On Sunday 17 January at 9.50am, a third victim, a man in his 30s, was stabbed in the same area and is in stable condition.
None of the victims were robbed, and the attacker said nothing significant during the assaults. Police remain baffled over the motive.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Local Tips
Detective Chief Inspector Tom Williams said: “We are working hard to bring answers to Leon’s family and the other victims. We believe these three attacks were carried out by the same man.”
He urged locals to speak up: “If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around Neasden Lane North between 9pm and 10pm on 11 January or at 9.50am last Sunday, please come forward. Even tiny details could crack this case.”
Williams also suspects the culprit is local: “Is there anyone you know disposing of clothes or behaving strangely? This could be a vital lead.”
Manhunt Ongoing as Police Ramp Up Patrols
Since the fatal stabbing, extra police patrols have hit Neasden. Officers are combing CCTV footage and following fresh leads as they track the violent attacker.
Two men, 47 and 33, arrested on 11 January were released without charge. One was the victim of the earlier non-fatal assault.
