Shocking Attack on 80-Year-Old Pensioner in Faversham Supermarket
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to track down after a brutal assault on an elderly shopper in a Faversham supermarket.
Incident at Forbes Road Store
The attack happened at about 5.45pm on Friday, February 28, inside a supermarket on Forbes Road. The 80-year-old pensioner was helping staff by blocking a suspected shoplifter’s escape route when the suspect allegedly shoved him to the floor.
The fall caused the pensioner to suffer a head injury. Shoppers were left stunned by the violent scene.
Police Launch Appeal for CCTV Man
Officers have scoured CCTV footage and released an image of the suspect. They believe this man could hold the key to their ongoing investigation.
“Anyone who recognises this individual or has information is urged to call the appeal line on 01795 419119, quoting reference 01-1015,” police said.
