Teenager Fatally Stabbed After Brutal Street Fight in Brent
Detectives are hunting for answers after a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Northwest London. The tragic attack unfolded on Friday, 14 July, on Granville Road, NW6, sparking a police probe into the violent street brawl.
Emergency Crews Tried to Save Teen’s Life
Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the scene following reports of a fight and stabbing. Despite a frantic effort to save him, Claudyo Jauad Lafayett died at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving specialist support during this heartbreaking time.
Stab Wound to Abdomen Confirmed as Cause of Death
A post-mortem on Tuesday, 18 July, confirmed Claudyo died from a stab wound to the abdomen. Another 17-year-old male was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital and remains stable. A woman in her early 20s also suffered a hand injury but has now been discharged.
Three Arrests Made, All Released on Bail
Specialist Crime Command detectives have made three arrests linked to the murder. An 18-year-old man was detained on Saturday but has since been released on bail. Two other men, both 18, were arrested on Monday and also released pending further inquiries.
“A birthday party has ended in tragedy,” said Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley. “A family mourns a young man with his whole life ahead of him. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any footage to come forward.”
