Teen Moped Rider Nabbed with Stun Gun and Drugs After High-Speed Chase in North London
High-Speed Moped Chase Ends on Alexander Road
Officers from the Met’s Operation Venice Command were on patrol in Islington and Haringey at 8.20pm on Tuesday, 11 February, when a moped rider spotted them and took off at high speed. Police motorcycles, backed by marked patrol cars, pursued the rider and safely brought him to a stop on Alexander Road, N19.
Roadside Stop Uncovers Stun Gun and Drugs
The male teenager was detained and searched on the spot. Cops found a stun gun hidden on him. But that wasn’t all – he was also in possession of various controlled substances.
Serious Charges Laid Against Teenager
The 19-year-old now faces multiple charges, including:
- Possession of a weapon capable of electrical incapacitation (stun gun)
- Possession of Class B drugs (Cannabis/Cannabis Resin)
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (Heroin and Crack Cocaine)
He was remanded in custody and set to appear in court on Thursday, 13 February.
