£75 Million Cocaine Haul Sparks Third Arrest in Southampton

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a massive cocaine bust at Southampton, marking the third arrest in this high-profile National Crime Agency (NCA) probe.

Border Force officers, teaming up with the NCA, uncovered the astonishing stash while inspecting a container at Southampton Docks. The shipment came all the way from Nicaragua via Panama. Hidden inside pallets of bananas were a jaw-dropping 943kg of cocaine, with an estimated street value of £75 million.

Trio Now Behind Bars Ahead of Court Date

Two men were charged on 18 March alongside the latest suspect. All three have been remanded in custody and will appear at Southampton Crown Court on 17 April.
