Tragic Death of Toddler After Savage Dog Attack in Rochdale
Charges have been filed over the heartbreaking death of three-year-old Daniel Twigg. The toddler was fatally mauled by a dangerous dog at a home on Tunshill Lane, Milnrow, near Rochdale, Lancashire.
Emergency Services Responded Quickly
The horrific attack happened on the afternoon of May 15, 2022. Emergency crews rushed Daniel to hospital, but he sadly died from his injuries shortly afterwards.
Owners Face Grim Charges
After a thorough investigation, Mark Twigg, 42, and Joanne Bedford, 36, were charged with gross negligence manslaughter. The pair live together on King Street, Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, close to where the tragedy took place.
Police have not revealed the exact connection between the accused, Daniel, and the dog involved.
Next Court Date Set
The accused will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 31.
