Knife-wielding robbers terrorise Edgware – two men convicted!
Two males have been caught and convicted for a spate of terrifying knife-point robberies in Edgware. Abdulahi Sharif Mohamed, 20, from Riverdene, Edgware, and a 17-year-old male from Wembley faced justice at Harrow Crown Court.
Three violent attacks in May
Mohamed admitted to robbing three men on May 8, 17, and 20. One victim was threatened at knife-point on May 8. Another was beaten so badly on May 20, he needed hospital treatment. The 17-year-old pleaded guilty to the robberies on May 8 and 17, as well as an extra attack on May 17 where a victim was also threatened with a knife.
Victims targeted on dark Edgware pathway
The terrifying spree took place along a footpath between Farm Road and Brook Avenue. The victims, men aged 25 to 50, were robbed of phones and wallets while walking home from Edgware tube station.
Sentencing set for August 22
The pair will face sentencing at Harrow Crown Court on August 22. Locals hope this puts an end to the violent crime wave and brings some relief to Edgware’s late-night commuters.
