Shots Fired Outside Manchester Nightclubs – Two Men Arrested

Manchester police are hunting for more witnesses after a late-night brawl near the Oast House and BLVD nightclub on Wood Street. The disturbance erupted just after 4am on Saturday, 5 November 2022, ending with two men behind bars.

Gun Fired Amid Chaos

CCTV footage shows a crowd gathered around the area as tensions boiled over into a fight. Police say a gun was fired during the incident, and they believe many people nearby saw and heard the shot.

Talib Shabani of Hattern Avenue, Leicester, faces serious charges, including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, dangerous driving, and driving without insurance. Abdul Wali, who has no fixed address, is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both men were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday, 7 November.

Police Plea: Did You See or Film the Incident?

“Thankfully no one was hurt, but it could have been a disaster,” said Detective Inspector Madeline Kelly. “We’re urging anyone who was near Wood Street—especially by the Oast House or BLVD nightclub around 4am—to come forward.

“Whether you were walking by, waiting for a taxi, or parked nearby with dashcam footage, we need your help. No detail is too small. Your evidence could be the key to cracking this case.”
