Two dealers caught red-handed with a massive haul of drugs and cash have been locked up. Ieuan Davies, 31, and Michael Purchase, 30, were busted in a dramatic police raid in Calne back in March 2021.
£12,620 of Cocaine and Cannabis Worth Up to £25k Found
The Chippenham and Calne police teams stormed a property on Linnet Road, uncovering £12,620 worth of cocaine, cannabis valued between £16,000 and £25,000, over £12,000 in cash, and even a fully loaded taser.
Dealers Sent Down After Guilty Pleas
This week, Purchase copped a 29-month jail term after pleading guilty to involvement in cocaine supply, cannabis dealing, possession of criminal property, and firearm possession.
Davies, also admitting charges linked to cocaine and cannabis supply and criminal property possession, was sentenced to 38 months behind bars. Both men must cough up a £190 surcharge each.
Police Praise Successful Operation
Sgt Nick Kelly said: “A significant amount of drugs which had the potential to cause significant harm within our communities, alongside a large amount of cash were found following this warrant last year and a lengthy investigation has been ongoing ever since.
We are committed to targeting offenders like Davies and Purchase, who not only commit serious crime but also benefit significantly financially from their offending.
“I am pleased that these two individuals have been given prison sentences as punishment for their actions.”
