Big Drug Bust in Bromley: Two Men Caught with Cocaine Stash

Ben Zeto, 30, of Biggin Hill, and Adam Lyons, 35, from Birmingham, have been found guilty of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. The pair were snared after a Metropolitan Police sting in July 2022 uncovered a major drug deal in Bromley.

Undercover Cops Spot Suspicious Meet-Up

Specialist officers on patrol in Sunningvale Avenue, Biggin Hill, noticed two cars parked side-by-side. Zeto was seen chatting with Lyons, who was behind the wheel of a blue Audi. Clutched in Zeto’s hand was a large black bag.

When Zeto jumped into a grey Audi and drove off, officers tailed him and stopped the car. The black bag was found on the passenger floor, packed with ten big blocks of cocaine embossed with an apple logo.

Lyons Nabbed 100 Miles Away

As cops tracked down the blue Audi, they found Lyons at Cobham Services in Surrey. He was arrested for the same crime. Court details revealed Lyons had driven from Birmingham specifically to deliver the drugs.

Encrypted Chats Reveal Debt-Driven Drug Deal

A phone investigation exposed Lyons using the encrypted app Wickr to take orders from an unknown source. Messages showed he was making the deliveries to pay off a debt.

On 3 February, Croydon Crown Court jurors convicted both men. Sentencing will follow on a later date.

“We were shocked to discover such a large amount of drugs that day,” said Detective Sergeant Andy Snazell. “This shows the vital role of proactive policing. We stopped a huge quantity of cocaine hitting London’s streets, protecting local communities from serious harm.”

“There is no doubt the pair met to exchange the drugs and now they will pay the price for their crime.”
