Tragic Crash Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Boy in Eltham
A 14-year-old boy has died following a shocking collision on Eltham Road near Kidbrooke Park Road. Despite desperate efforts from medics, the boy was pronounced dead at 4.35pm on Tuesday.
Two Others Injured
The crash also left two pedestrians hurt. A 40-year-old woman and an eight-year-old boy were rushed to a South London hospital. Police confirmed their injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Man Arrested Over Deadly Drive
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as police continue their probe. Authorities urged witnesses to come forward, stressing the urgency of piecing together the events that led to the young boy’s tragic death just days before Christmas.
Detective Inspector Lucie Card said: “This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy. Our investigation is well underway, but we need witnesses to step forward.”
“Motorists in the area are also asked to check dashcam footage that might help our inquiry.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Met Police confirmed officers, London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance, and the Fire Brigade all rushed to the scene at 3.33pm on Tuesday, 21 December.
