Tragic Early Morning Stabbing Outside Dorset Subway
Just before 5am on Saturday 12 March 2022, Dorset Police were called to a grim scene outside a Subway on Old Christchurch Road. A 21-year-old man had been stabbed and rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Despite emergency efforts, the young victim sadly died. His family have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
Crime Scene Shutdown and Investigation Underway
Old Christchurch Road remains closed between Madeira Road and Lorne Park Road. Police have also sealed off Horseshoe Common to allow forensic teams to comb the area for vital evidence.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter from the Major Crime Investigation Team vowed a thorough probe. “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time,” he said.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
DI Huxter urged anyone who saw the stabbing or captured relevant footage on CCTV or dashcam to contact Dorset Police immediately.
“If you witnessed anything or have information, please get in touch. We’re keen to hear from anyone who can help,” he stressed.
A noticeable police presence will remain in the area while investigations continue. Local officers are available for anyone who has concerns.
