Hammer-Wielding Burglar Strikes Oxford Home

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to quiz after a shocking aggravated burglary in Oxford.

At around 12.30pm on Monday (September 28), the suspect smashed his way into a property on Carter Close armed with a hammer. Inside, he stole multiple items while the victim, a man in his sixties, was home.

Victim Escapes Injury in Terrifying Raid

Thankfully, the victim was not hurt during the ordeal. Detective Constable Ed Horley from St Aldates Police Station said:

“It was a terrifying ordeal for the victim, who has the right to feel safe and secure in his own home. I am thankful he was not injured, but we are treating this incident as a priority.”

Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspect

DC Horley added:

“We are releasing CCTV images as we believe the person pictured might hold important information. If you recognise the man or believe it’s you, contact Thames Valley Police immediately.”
