Burglars Hit Historic Malmesbury Abbey
Police are hunting thieves after a daring overnight burglary at Malmesbury Abbey.
Priceless Goblets and Ornaments Stolen
Officers were called at around 10am today (16/11) following reports that several valuable items, including goblets and ornaments, were nicked from inside the sacred site.
Charity Box Raided in Shocking Heist
To make matters worse, cash was also stolen from the abbey’s charity box, leaving the community stunned.
“Our enquiries are ongoing,” a police spokesperson said.
