Witness Steps Forward in Bournemouth Stabbing Murder Probe
A breakthrough has come in the investigation following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in Bournemouth town centre.
Tragic Attack Outside Subway
At 4.44am on Saturday, 12 March 2022, Dorset Police were called to reports of a stabbing outside Subway on Old Christchurch Road. The young man was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition but sadly died shortly after.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers, while HM Coroner has been notified of the death.
Suspect in Custody as Police Search for Witnesses
A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
The Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) released a CCTV image seeking a potential witness believed to hold key information. Following the appeal, a man has now come forward and is assisting detectives.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter, MCIT, said: “We would like to thank the individual who came forward and everyone who shared our appeal. This remains an ongoing investigation and I would continue to urge anyone who has information that might assist our enquiries to please get in touch.”

Police cordons remain around Horseshoe Common as the investigation continues. Local officers are available to speak with the community for any concerns or information.
