Fatal Crash on A390 Near Liskeard Claims One Life, Leaves Two Critical
Tragedy struck late Saturday night on the A390 near West Taphouse, Liskeard. Around 11 p.m. on July 23, 2022, a deadly collision between a silver Ford Fiesta and a red Peugeot 107 left one man dead and two women seriously injured.
Deadly Smash Between Ford Fiesta and Peugeot
The Ford Fiesta was heading towards East Taphouse when it collided head-on with the Peugeot 107 travelling towards Lostwithiel. Despite frantic efforts by passersby and emergency crews, the male driver of the Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Women Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
A female passenger in the Ford Fiesta and the Peugeot’s female driver were both rushed to Derriford Hospital with critical and serious injuries. Police have notified the next of kin.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The Roads Policing Team launched an immediate investigation. Officers are urging anyone with dashcam footage or who saw either vehicle before the crash to come forward.
