Woman Found After Possible Sexual Assault in Bournemouth

A woman in her 20s was out drinking with friends in Bournemouth before leaving alone around 2am on Tuesday, 10 August 2021. Later, she woke up on the ground in Horseshoe Common and was helped into a taxi by two unknown women.

Police Appeal for ‘Good Samaritans’ to Come Forward

Detective Constable Phillip Riggs from Bournemouth CID revealed the victim may have been sexually assaulted between the time she left and when she was found. “We’ve identified that the victim was located in Horseshoe Common and assisted into a taxi,” said Riggs.

He added, “We are doing everything we can to support the victim and continue the investigation. I’ve obtained CCTV images of the two Good Samaritans and urge them to come forward. They may hold crucial information.”
