Ambulance Crew Bust Thieves in Tesco Express Break-In Drama!
Thieves tried to raid Tesco Express in Bishopstoke, near Eastleigh, for the second time in a week. But what they didn’t expect was a 999 emergency ambulance passing by and catching them red-handed.
Ford Fiesta and Fencing Smash-Up
Two ambulance crew members from South Central Ambulance Service spotted a scruffy Ford Fiesta acting suspiciously on the main road. Then they saw three men use a block from a nearby car wash fence to smash their way into Tesco.
Quick-Thinking Crew Stops The Heist
The ambulance team aborted their call, raised the alarm, and confronted the criminals. The raiders bolted back to the Fiesta and fled — but not before being captured on both the ambulance’s dashcam and Tesco’s CCTV.
Second Strike Spurs Police Arrests
- This was the second break-in attempt in just one week.
- The store was still sporting boarded-up windows from the previous smash-and-grab.
- Police have since arrested one suspect, who is now in custody and being questioned.
Tesco bosses and locals will be breathing a sigh of relief — and hoping this nightmare is finally over.
