Blaze Hits Waterloo Restaurant with Flats Above

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters raced to tackle a blaze at a restaurant in The Cut, Waterloo, on Wednesday afternoon (2 August).

Fire Rips Through Ducting from Ground Floor to Roof

Part of the building’s ducting, running from the ground floor up to the roof, was damaged in the fire. Thankfully, three people managed to escape the building before fire crews arrived.

Firefighters from Four Stations Joined the Battle

The London Fire Brigade received the call just before 4pm. Teams from Shoreditch, Clapham, Lambeth, and Soho stations were on the scene swiftly, dousing flames and securing the area.

Cause of Fire Still Unknown

Officials are currently investigating what sparked the blaze. No further details have been released.
