A man has been arrested after three people suffered injuries during a serious incident at a property in Andover.
Hampshire Police were called to Till Close at around 10pm on Thursday, 17 September, following reports of a serious assault.
Officers arriving at the scene found a man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, inside an address with stab wounds to their upper bodies.
Both casualties were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said a third man had intervened during the incident and suffered a minor injury to his forearm.
A 26-year-old man from Andover was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing a weapon in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 10pm on 17 September to reports of a serious assault at an address on Till Close, Andover.
“On arrival, a man and a woman, both in their 40s, were located within an address with stab wounds to their upper bodies. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
“A third man intervened and sustained a minor injury to his forearm.”
Police confirmed the 26-year-old remained in custody while enquiries continued.
No further details about the condition of the two people taken to hospital have been released.
