Kent Police Hold Animal Welfare Event in Dover
Kent Police are teaming up with local animal charities and councils for a big animal welfare event in Dover on Friday, 8 April 2022.
Meet the Experts at Pencester Gardens
From 10am to 3pm, dog lovers and pet owners can chat with a host of animal experts at Pencester Gardens. The event will feature Kent Police’s Dog Liaison Officer, plus reps from the RSPCA, Dogs Trust, Dogs 1 UK, and Crimestoppers.
Also on hand will be Kent County Council’s Community Warden, Dover District Council’s Environmental Officer and Dog Warden, as well as guests from animal carers AHPAW and the Artisan Rare Breeds Centre.
Free Dog Chipping and Expert Advice
Dog owners can get their pets chipped on the spot and ask questions about animal welfare, crime related to pets, rescue operations, and adoption processes.
“Protecting pet owners from becoming victims of crime is an important issue for Kent Police and the many partner agencies we work with,” said Acting Inspector Leigh Woolnough from Dover Community Safety Unit.
“I hope this event gives the public a chance to speak with experts and allows us all to hear community concerns.”
