Boxing Day Burglars Raid Retford Hair Salon
Early on Boxing Day morning, around 1.50am, a hairdresser’s salon in Carolgate, Retford, was targeted by burglars. The crook forced open a locked side door, grabbed multiple items, and made a run for it before the owner discovered the crime hours later.
Police Launch Investigation, Seek Public Help
Nottinghamshire Police have sprung into action, releasing an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the break-in.
“This burglary took place in the early hours of the morning after a day in which people will have been celebrating the festivities,” said PC Carl Forman.
“Finding out your property has been burgled is a deeply upsetting experience that can also have wider implications to people’s livelihoods.
“It should go without saying but this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and will never be tolerated by Nottinghamshire Police.”

PC Forman appealed to the public: “We’d ask that anyone who recognises the man in this picture gets in touch, as we believe he may have information that could assist our investigation.”
