Fitness Coach Amie Gray Brutally Stabbed to Death on Bournemouth Beach
Police have released chilling CCTV images of a suspect linked to the savage stabbing of fitness trainer Amie Gray. The 34-year-old from Poole was found fatally wounded on Bournemouth’s Durley Chine Beach late on Friday night.
Woman Seriously Injured, Teen Arrested
Amie was pronounced dead at the scene despite urgent attempts to save her. A 38-year-old woman, also from Poole, suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy from Lancashire has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody.
Police Release CCTV of Hooded Suspect
The CCTV released shows the suspect cloaked in dark clothes with a hood covering his head. Police said releasing images of an arrested suspect is rare, underlining how serious and urgent this investigation is.
“Since this tragic incident was reported to us, we have been driving the investigation forward, collecting as much information as possible to get answers for the loved ones of the young woman who has tragically lost her life and for the surviving victim. Our thoughts remain with them,” said Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey.
Community in Shock as Investigation Intensifies
Amie was a beloved head ladies’ coach at Dorset Football Club, who described her as “a wonderful human being who didn’t have any enemies.”
Police have mounted a major operation on Bournemouth beach, combing the area with metal detectors to find the murder weapon. Sections of the beach and nearby venues remain cordoned off as inquiries continue.
Superintendent Gavin House assured the public that officers would maintain a strong presence over the Bank Holiday weekend and urged anyone with information to step forward immediately.
Local MP Sir Conor Burns called the attack a “tragic, brutal” event utterly unlike the peaceful area.
Police Plea: Help Bring Justice for Amie Gray
Authorities continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from Friday night near Durley Chine Beach. The community’s support is vital to catch those responsible and bring justice to Amie and the injured survivor.
