Teen Dies After Taking Drugs at Exeter Nightclub

Emergency Called to Move Nightclub

Police rushed to Move nightclub in Exeter just after midnight on Saturday following urgent paramedic calls. A teenage girl was found unwell and rushed to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, but tragically, she later died.

Multiple Teens Involved in Drug Use

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that several teenagers had taken the same tablets. Detective Chief Inspector Lee Nattrass revealed that officers have already identified a number of young people who admitted using the drugs.

“We have seen time and time again that these substances can kill,” said Det Ch Insp Nattrass. “And we have another tragic case on our hands.”

Police Urge Caution and Open Talks

The force is appealing for anyone affected or with information to come forward. They emphasise the dangers of unknown substances, warning they can be deadly.

Parents are urged to discuss drug risks honestly with their children. Frighteningly, you “have no idea what they contain, and you have no idea what reaction you might have; it could be fatal.”
