Pervert exposed himself on Shoreham beach – police hunting suspect and mysterious kayaker
Police are on the hunt for a man who brazenly exposed himself to a young woman at Shoreham Harbour Beach. The shocking incident happened on Tuesday, June 13, near Basin Road South, close to the power station.
Frightening ordeal for young woman
Detective Constable Vicky Stenning revealed the ordeal has left the victim too scared to return to the beach. “This was a frightening experience for the woman, who is vulnerable,” she said.
What initially seemed like a straightforward exposure turned nasty when the suspect grabbed the woman as she tried to move past him. Luckily, a man kayaking nearby gave chase and forced the attacker to flee.

The kayaker, described as a white man, left the scene in a white van with his kayak strapped on the roof. Police want to speak to him as a crucial witness.
The brazen pervert is believed to have driven off in a silver Renault Clio.
Police issue urgent appeal
