A man threatened staff with a knife inside Tesco Express on Langdown Lawn, Hythe, late Sunday night (10 July) before making off with cash and cigarettes.
Knife Threat Sparks Robbery at Tesco Express
At around 10.25pm, the suspect entered the store and confronted a staff member, brandishing a knife. He then demanded money and cigarettes from another employee before fleeing the scene.
Police Make Multiple Arrests in Marchwood
Officers quickly responded, tracking down a vehicle on Maritime Avenue, Marchwood. Three people inside were detained along with another person found nearby. Police discovered large amounts of cash and cigarettes during searches.
Four Arrested Amidst Robbery Investigation
- A 45-year-old woman from Marchwood
- A 41-year-old man from Southampton
- A 35-year-old man with no fixed address
- A 60-year-old Marchwood man, arrested for robbery conspiracy
All four remain in custody as police continue their investigation.
