Tragic Death of 14-Year-Old Cyclist in Stoke Gifford Crash

A teenage boy has lost his life after a serious collision in Stoke Gifford last week. Leyton Coombs, 14, was cycling on Great Stoke Way when he was hit by a car around 7:40pm on Tuesday, 18 March.

Rushed to Hospital but Sadly Passed Away

Emergency services raced to the scene and rushed Leyton to hospital in critical condition. Despite desperate efforts from medical staff, he died five days later on Sunday, 23 March.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Avon and Somerset Police extended their condolences to Leyton’s family, who are being supported by specialist officers during this heartbreaking time. The force is now hunting for witnesses to piece together what happened.

“We’re appealing for witnesses or anyone with any footage that could be relevant to our investigation to contact us,” a police spokesperson said.
