Elderly Man Seriously Hurt in Bus Crash on Mayplace Road West

An elderly man was struck by a bus on Mayplace Road West, near Furze Wren, sparking chaos in Bexleyheath. The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance touched down at nearby Bexleyheath Academy to help.

Road Closed as Investigation Gets Underway

The road remains shut while police investigate the serious collision. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the crash at 1.35pm on Monday, 13 July.

Man in His 60s Suffers Life-Changing Injuries

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 1.35pm to reports of a bus in collision with a male pedestrian in Broadway, Bexleyheath. London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.”

The man, believed to be in his 60s, was quickly taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. He remains in hospital with life-changing injuries.
