Over £8,000 Donated to Local Charities Thanks to Eastbourne Airshow!
Big Bucks Raised at Airbourne
The Eastbourne International Airshow rocked this year, raising a whopping £27,000. Now, more than £8,000 of that cash has been handed out to three deserving regional charities.
Who Got the Cash?
- Eastbourne Dementia Action Alliance
- The Salvation Army
- Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex
Each charity pocketed £2,696.45 — exactly 10% of the total haul. The cheques were presented at the swanky International Lawn Tennis Centre in Devonshire Park.
Behind the Scenes Heroes
Thanks go to the Rotary Clubs of Sovereign Harbour and Hailsham, who manned the bucket collections during the airshow in August. Eastbourne Borough Council officials also joined the cheque handover ceremony.
The successful cash drive means vital funds for local causes, proving the Eastbourne Airshow is more than just thrilling sky displays – it’s a community lifeline.
