Blaze Breaks Out at St Leonards Industrial Site
East Sussex Fire and Rescue rushed to a major fire at an industrial unit on Theaklen Drive, St Leonards-on-Sea, late on March 19, 2024. The emergency call came in at 8.14pm, sparking a swift response.
Four Fire Engines Battle Flames
Firefighters from Hastings Bohemia Road, Bexhill, and Broad Oak stations deployed four engines at the height of the operation. Using two sets of breathing apparatus, they tackled the inferno with a main jet and hose reel to douse the flames.
No Casualties as Fire Brought Under Control
The quick and efficient action meant the fire was quickly contained. The operation was scaled back to just one appliance as crews mopped up and hunted down hotspots. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
