Firefighters Rescue Six Ducklings Trapped in Biggin Hill Storm Drain
In a heartwarming twist, six ducklings trapped in a storm drain on Jail Lane, Biggin Hill, were heroically saved by local firefighters. A passerby spotted the distressed ducklings struggling to escape and immediately called the Fire Brigade.
Swift Action from Biggin Hill Fire Station
The Biggin Hill Fire crew raced to the scene at 4:32 p.m. on July 28. Using specialist equipment, five firefighters and one fire engine carefully lifted the ducklings out of the drain. By 5:20 p.m., the fluffy survivors were safely reunited with their anxious mother waiting nearby.
Firefighters Proud to Help Animals in Need
“Firefighters love animals too, and we are ready, willing, and able to assist distressed or injured animals,” a London Fire Brigade spokesperson said. “We advise people to call the RSPCA first, but when specialist equipment is needed, we’re there to help – just like in this case.”
