Police Officer Charged with Shocking Child Sex and Misconduct Offences
Hampshire Constabulary has charged a serving police officer with a string of serious offences after a Professional Standards Department probe. Keith Phillip John Burgess, 41, a neighbourhood officer at Southampton Central Police Station, faces seven charges including misconduct in a public office and child sex crimes.
Officer Faces Seven Charges Including Sexual Assault and Child Grooming
- Three counts of misconduct in a public office
- Two counts of making indecent images or pseudo-photographs of a child
- One count of sexual assault on a woman
- One count of meeting a girl under 16 following sexual grooming
PC Burgess is currently suspended from duty. He has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 2.
