A serious motorcycle crash has brought the M25 to a crawl near the Dartford Crossing, causing hours of gridlock. The smash happened at around 2:30 p.m. today on the A282 southbound, forcing two lanes to shut as emergency crews work to clear the wreckage.
Delays of Up to Two Hours on Clockwise Carriageway
Drivers heading into Kent on the clockwise side face delays of up to two hours. Meanwhile, the anti-clockwise lanes are backed up with 30-minute queues approaching the tunnel.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service responded immediately. A spokesperson said:
“Motorists are advised that the A282 near Dartford is closed in both directions following a serious collision. Officers and ambulance teams are at the scene, with the air ambulance also in attendance. Please plan your journeys accordingly.”
The air ambulance landed close to the crash site to assist the injured, as all emergency units scrambled to provide aid and manage the growing traffic chaos.
