Serious Incident at Brighton’s Amsterdam Hotel Shakes Kemptown
Emergency services rushed to the Amsterdam Hotel in Kemptown, Brighton this Sunday afternoon after reports of a serious incident inside the popular Broad Street venue.
Man Seriously Injured, Air Ambulance On Scene
Around 2:30pm on March 24, paramedics from SECAmb, backed by medics from the KSS Air Ambulance, treated a man with serious injuries inside the hotel on Marine Parade. The critically injured man was swiftly transferred to Royal Sussex County Hospital for urgent medical care.
The KSS Air Ambulance landed nearby on Brighton Beach, close to the Volks Railway. While waiting for their team to return, the helicopter crew offered curious children a chance to explore the aircraft, bringing a rare moment of light relief amid the emergency.
Woman Arrested Over Grievous Bodily Harm
Sussex Police, alerted by ambulance crews, arrived promptly and detained a woman on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. She remains in custody as police confirm no further suspects are being sought.
