Motorcyclist Fighting for Life After Crash Near Newchurch
A biker has been left fighting for their life following a serious collision near Newchurch on the Isle of Wight.
Crash Shuts Down Key Road
Police from the Armed Response Roads Policing Unit shut the busy Sandown to Newport Road (A3056) after a smash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The crash happened just before 10am on Friday outside the Chilli pub, between Winford Road and Watery Lane.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service arrived promptly to treat the motorcyclist, who suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
Officers have closed the A3056 in both directions and warn the road will remain shut for some time while they investigate and clear the scene.
