Thousands Flock to Annual Bembridge Fort Walk with Babies, Dogs and Even Boats!

Over 4,000 people of all ages poured into Bembridge and St Helens on Monday evening for the famous Fort Walk. The weather was perfect, drawing crowds to trek along the causeway to the iconic St Helen’s Fort – some even bringing their dogs, babies, and boats!

The walk is completely unorganised with no official date or set start time. Yet, thanks to social media buzz, the event has exploded in popularity, attracting bigger crowds year after year.

Safety on the Water: Coastguard and Lifeboat Teams on Duty

Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team kept a close watch over the walkers. Meanwhile, Bembridge RNLI’s inshore D-class lifeboat stood ready to assist in case of emergencies, ensuring everyone stayed safe during the busy event.
