Coastguard Helicopter Airlifts Patient from Isle of Wight
In a dramatic rescue this afternoon, Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 175 swooped in to airlift a patient from St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight.
Swift Lifesaving Action
The helicopter, based in Lee on the Solent, touched down safely back at its base. There, a Coastguard Search and Rescue team from Hillhead was on hand to assist with the crucial medical transfer.
Patient Now in Safe Hands
The patient was promptly handed over to the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring expert care continues on land.
