Queen Victoria Hospital Named Best in NHS Patient Survey – Again!
QVH Tops the Nation for Nursing Care
Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH) has smashed it once more, coming out on top in the latest national inpatient survey across NHS hospitals. When it comes to nursing, QVH leads the pack. Patients praised nurses for clear communication, inclusive conversations, and building trust and confidence.
Outstanding Care and Treatment Scores
QVH wasn’t just a one-trick pony. The hospital scored highest nationwide for care and treatment. Patients say staff provided just the right information about their conditions, listened to fears, and did everything possible to manage pain effectively.
Excellence Across the Entire Patient Journey
The hospital nailed every stage of the patient journey – from waiting list times to admission. Patients loved the choice and quality of food, help with eating, peaceful wards for sleep, involvement in decision-making, and support to leave hospital safely.
Leadership Praise for Hospital Staff
Steve Jenkin, Chief Executive, said: “This achievement is something every member of staff and volunteer at the hospital has contributed to. Whether in theatres, wards, clinics, labs, offices, switchboard, kitchens or gardens, there is a direct connection between your work and the patient experience. Our staff are proud and committed to doing even better.”
Chief Nurse Nicky Reeves added: “Patients told us they trust and have confidence in our staff. This trust boosts our excellent clinical results. They also appreciate how we go the extra mile—helping patients stay in touch with loved ones when it matters most.”
