Fire Rips Through Roehampton Maisonette
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters scrambled to a blaze at a maisonette on Highcliffe Drive, Roehampton. The fire gutted part of a five-room maisonette spanning the fourth and fifth floors of a six-storey block.
Quick Escape, No Injuries
A woman living in the flat evacuated before fire crews arrived. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries in the incident.
Fire Brigade Gets Situation Under Control
- Emergency call came in at 2:35pm
- Fire declared under control by 3:30pm
- Firefighters dispatched from Wandsworth, Hammersmith, Fulham, Chiswick, Chelsea, and Wimbledon stations
Crews worked swiftly to prevent further damage, bringing the fiery ordeal to a close within an hour.
