Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to Ethelbert Terrace, Margate, at 8.42pm after reports of smoke coming from a boiler in a top-floor flat.
Resident Escapes, Firefighters Act Fast
The quick-thinking tenant called 999 and evacuated the property before fire crews arrived. Two engines were dispatched immediately.
Small Fire in Electrical Cupboard Quickly Doused
Firefighters, suited up in breathing apparatus, found a small blaze inside an electrical cupboard. They put it out with a dry powder extinguisher and used a special fan to clear smoke and fumes from the flat.
