Deadly Crash on Mexican Highway Claims 10 Cuban Migrants
At least 10 Cuban migrants died and 17 were seriously injured after a cargo truck overturned on the Pacific coast stretch of the Pijijiapan-Tonalá highway in Chiapas, Mexico. The tragic smash happened on Sunday when the overloaded Ford truck, not meant for passengers, lost control.
Driver Speeds Off, Leaving Chaos Behind
Officials say the driver was speeding and lost control, causing the deadly rollover. Even worse, the driver fled the scene, abandoning the wrecked vehicle. Shocking images show the truck lying on its side in a ditch, missing number plates, with much of its wooden bed and side panels torn off.
Highway Known for Migrant Routes
