Heartbreaking Family Tribute to ‘Rock’ Patrick

From Hull, Patrick leaves behind grief-stricken parents, a brother, sister, nephew, close friends, and colleagues from the Army Air Corps and North Yorkshire Police.

“Pat was an absolutely wonderful son and brother. The middle child of three, he was our rock, like a best friend,” his family said.

“We were, and always will be, incredibly proud of him.”

“Tragically, Pat died doing one of his greatest loves — riding his motorbike, something he cherished whenever he had the chance.”

“Besides biking, Pat’s joy came from family, friends, and cheering on his favourite rugby team, Hull Kingston Rovers.”

“He had just embarked on his policing career, joining North Yorkshire Police in September 2020, after a decade serving in the Army Air Corps.”

“Pat was passionate about helping others, especially the vulnerable. He was buzzing when cleared to go solo and loved working with Scarborough’s team.”

“He was a true friend to many, always there for those who needed him.”

“Since losing him, we’re devastated beyond words. Pat has left a hole in our hearts that will never heal.”

“The overwhelming support we’ve received shows how many lives he touched.”

“We can say with certainty Heaven has gained its brightest new star. Rest in peace, Tricky.”
