Violent Robbey in South Kensington

Detectives from Kensington and Chelsea have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a violent robbery in South Kensington. Police were called at 13:00hrs on Wednesday, 21 March to reports of a violent robbery in Harrington Gardens, SW7. The victim, a 50-year-old woman, told officers that she was grabbed from behind by a man demanding she hand over her rings. The man grabbed her left hand and forcibly removed two rings, pushed her to the ground and stole her handbag. He then ran off, stumbling whilst doing so, dropped one of the rings and made off on a scooter with a second suspect who was waiting for him. The pair made off along Collingham Gardens, SW7. The victim sustained minor injuries to her hand. The suspects are described as males and approximately 6ft tall. Suspect 1 (who took the rings) is described as speaking with a Cockney accent and was wearing black clothes and a black helmet. Suspect 2 was wearing a high visibility jacket.
