Driver Mounts Gosport Roundabout, Crashes Through Railings into Garden
A driver had a lucky escape this afternoon on Rowner Road in Gosport after crashing through railings and landing in a garden.
Blue Kia Mounts Roundabout and Smashes Barrier
The incident happened near the roundabout on Rowner Road when a woman behind the wheel of a blue Kia apparently hit the accelerator instead of the brake. The car mounted the roundabout, smashed through safety barriers, and demolished a garden fence before coming to rest in the garden.
Road Closed as Police Clear Scene
Police quickly shut down the road while emergency crews worked to remove the vehicle from the garden. Paramedics treated the driver at the scene before she was allowed to go home. Thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be serious.
Car Recovered by Boarhunt
The damaged Kia was later recovered by Boarhunt recovery services, ending the dramatic roadside drama.
