Fire crews free Trapped driver After vehicle leaves the road in Boarhunt

Firefighters had to cut a driver free from their vehicle following a crash this evening. The accident happened in the village of Boarhunt on the outskirts of Fareham. It is understood that the red Ford fiesta hit flooding on the raad and their vehicle left the road ending up in a side ditch. Two fire crews from Wickham and Fareham were called to the incident and attended the incident The two stations where mobilised just before 8pm on Tuesday evening. Crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to release the trapped driver, who was suffering from back pain. Once freed the driver was placed on a spinal board and and taken to QA Hospital in Cosham by South central ambulance serivce (SCA).
