Emergency Serivce Called to Ventnor’s St Lawerance Shute

Emergency services have been called to St Lawrence Shute in Ventnor this afternoon. Two ambulances from Isle of Wight Ambulance service and Officers from the Hampshire And Isle of Wight Joint Operation unit have been sent to the incident that happened at the top of St Lawrence Shute just before 3pm on Monday afternoon. The road was closed for a short time but has since been reopened by Police. Witnesses who saw the drama unfold have said that one person was seen being loaded into the back of an ambulance strapped to a stretcher. It was very strange they said as I could see a car I thought it may have been a collision. I hope the person is ok It all looked very serious. More to Follow
